This has got to be the coolest new Halloween decoration yet! They are called Funkins – artificial and very carvable pumpkins for Halloween. Made out of a special synthetic foam, the Funkins are hollow with half inch thick walls. I saw a whole bin of these at Joann today and was amazed how realistic they are.
Basically, you carve whatever pumpkin pattern you want into the Funkin and you have the perfect fall decoration that won’t rot, you didn’t have to dig out slimy seeds (although some will say that takes all the fun out of pumpkin carving), and can easily take a 5 watt light.
