Spider cookies
This great little recipe turns simple cookies into fun spider treats. Begin by buying a pack of chocolate Oreos. Carefully separate the cookies and lay them on plates. Cut some strawberry licorice laces in half and lay three or four of them across the cookie so they poke out at each end to resemble legs. Then use some melted chocolate or frosting to stick the other half of the cookie back on again. Then the finishing touch – using a frosting pen draw on some eyes and a zig-zag evil smile.
Halloween themed graveyard cupcakes
Begin by baking a batch of cupcakes and leave them to cool on a wire rack. Next, mix together some green food coloring, a teaspoon of water and some frosting powder. Mix the frosting well until you have a smooth green paste. Spread the green frosting over the cupcakes and use a fork or a spoon to flick up tiny bits of the frosting so it looks like grass. Next, break a rectangle shaped piece of dark chocolate off a slab and push it into the cupcake so only 1/3 of the chocolate is showing. Then using a frosting pen, write RIP on the chocolate. And there you have it, a mini graveyard cupcake.
